GTR staff at Brighton’s Lovers Walk Traction and Rolling Stock Maintenance Depot are the latest to benefit from Zonegreen’s market leading safety systems.
11 roads at the depot have been equipped with Zonegreen’s Depot Personnel Protection System (DPPS). It uses radio frequency- controlled road end panels to allow staff to activate Network Rail approved derailers, preventing vehicle movements in the areas where they are working. Staff are now using RFID tags, instead of padlocks, to protects against train movements. Zonegreen has also updated warning beacons with long- life LED technology.
Zonegreen’s Depot Manager has been provided alongside the DPPS to provide a visual overview, log a permanent record of all activity on the system and to depict the status of interlocked plant and equipment.
