Zonegreen’s Depot Personnel Protection System (DPPSTM) has been installed on Roads 8 and 9 at Southeastern’s Grove Park Depot.
The system comprises of a wheel stop, klaxons, warning beacons and a control panel which were fitted by Zonegreen’s expert engineers to protect personnel whilst they are working. Klaxons and beacons provide audible and visual warnings.
The DPPS is interfaced with the third rail traction power supply isolation switch gear provide by LC Switchgear. The interface prevents staff from being able to work on a road when the traction power supply is live, and prevents the reenergising of the traction power supply if there are people logged on to work on the road. Vehicle movements are inhibited until the third rail has been re-energised.
